 Identifying Characteristics
Size/Form:
Mahoe is a small tree reaching 20 to 30’ in height.
Leaves:
Heart-shaped glossy green leaves, 4 to 6” in diameter.
Fruit:
Capsules that are greenish and long.
Bark:
Brown bark.
Habitat:
Sandy areas. Often associated with mangroves.
