Eastern diamondback rattlesnake

The eastern diamondback rattlesnake is found throughout Florida in almost any habitat. It is most common in palmetto flatwoods, pine woods, fields, and grassy areas. The diamondback rattlesnake can be hard to spot since its diamond pattern and colors blend in easily with many environments. This snake is the largest native snake and is often considered the most dangerous due to its size, speed, quantity of venom, and defensive tactics.
