Palm Island Park is a wonderful example of a urban park
that provides benefits for both the urban population and the environment.
A stroll down the board walk is a relaxing and healthy way to explore this
forest ecosystem. Many of the trees are identified and interpertive information
is available, so it's an educational experience as well. Be on the lookout
for birds, mammals, and reptiles because this park provides homes and food
for a diverse range of animals. Notice that the leaves , small bushes and
wetland plants have been left intact in this park to encourage natural
cycling of nutrients, water, and to conserve energy. For more information
