Forest vegetation management is usually defined as the practice of controlling the growth of non-crop species so sunlight, moisture, and nutrients are channeled to trees that produce useable forest products. However, forest vegetation management may also be used to restore forest ecosystems and to favor plant communities that provide wildlife habitat.
