| Gary
F. Peter joined the school in 2002 with teaching and research responsibilities
in forest genomics and biotechnology. Prior to this he was an assistant
and associate professor of forest biology at the Institute of Paper
Science and Technology. He was also a postdoctoral fellow in the Department
of Plant and Microbiology at University of California, Berkeley. He
currently is a member of the UF Genetics Institute, UF Plant Molecular
and Cellular Biology program, and on the research faculty of the Sloan
Foundation Center for Paper Business and Industry Studies,
