Donald Rockwood, Professor, joined the School faculty in 1974 to teach mensuration and conduct forest genetics research. Previously, he was a Forester with F & W Forestry Services and a Post-Doctoral Associate. Research foci include tree improvement of eucalyptus and cottonwood, development of systems for short-rotation woody crops, and phytoremediation.

International Experience:

Consultancy with INIA in Uruguay; Faculty Development Leave with the Australian National
University, CSIRO, and Queensland Department of Forestry; ongoing tree improvement
research with agencies in Chile, England, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

Research:

CFGRP (Development of growth and yield models for improved slash pine). Woody
Biomass Production.
