Daniel Zarin joined the School in 2000. He is Director of the university-wide Working Forests in the Tropics Program, an Integrated Graduate Education and Research Traineeship Program supported by the National Science Foundation. Dr. Zarin is also Co-Director of the Amazon Conservation Leadership Initiative, a training and capacity building program funded by a grant to SFRC and the Center for Latin American Studies from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. His research focuses on forest ecology, natural resource management, and environmental policy in the Amazon Basin.
