Resources
A compilation of urban forestry journal articles, extension publications, books, theses, conference proceedings, and software that focus on urban forests and the Wildland-Urban Interface.
This resource list is an attempt to create a clearing house for a great deal of the literature relating to urban forestry through extension programs, professional journals, books, and popular periodicals. In addition, computer programs are included when appropriate. Each citation is accompanied by a short commentary about its content, emphasis, and/or target audience. The literature is presented in eleven main categories focused on Florida urban forests: air quality, analysis of urban forest canopy, carbon, energy, human behavior, planning and management, pests and diseases, restoration and hurricanes, socioeconomics, water, and wildland-urban interface. Some of these publications might only be available at large institutional libraries, through interlibrary loan at your local library, or online databases. A link to download the resource is provided when available.
